About

Glenn Ingram, Jr.

I am a Hartsville native, but I lived all over the country in Charleston, SC; Portland, Oregon; and Brevard, NC for 20 years. My family and I moved back in 2020.

Carpentry is not my first career. I’ve always loved working with my hands doing traditional woodworking, carving, and a little blacksmithing as a hobby. My first career was naturopathic medicine. I met my wife, Marty, in medical school and we practiced together for ten years. In 2017, I decided to start working as a carpenter part time while still practicing medicine and teaching (that was way too many things to do). After moving back to Hartsville in 2020, I decided to become a full-time carpenter. Marty is still a practicing naturopathic doctor at Kalmia Wellness.

My family and I like to stay active outdoors camping, canoeing, hiking, and taking care of our little homestead. I’m training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Red Fox BJJ. Marty frequents the YMCA. My son, Alex, loves tinkering with electronics and computers. You can also spot Marty and I out ballroom dancing now and then.
